Caged

OctPoWriMo Challenge 2013

Look into my eyes
what do you see
can you see the burning pain
the turmoil in my heart
I am caged in my own thoughts
a certain mutiny waiting to revolt
and I want to live free
for many years I had been a slave
for many years I had been a victim to apathy
no more
no more
don't show me sympathy
Love me for my colour
love me as I am
Let me be free
Let me be free from this mutiny.

I really liked today's prompt. All the photographs are mind blowing but I knew this is the picture I want to write about. The eyes just stole my heart. As if they were talking to me...as if saying " please tell my story".

I almost chose this image and new it deserved more time than I had to give it, which is why I chose a simpler image to write about today. You chose this very dark and powerful image and did it justice. :)

You have captured what we all dream of... unconditional love. Wonderful interpretation of the image!
